San Francisco Pride Parade 2025

I’d never been to a Pride Parade prior to this year in San Francisco. It was not for any moral or perspective issues but rather it was just never an event on my radar. Despite living in the Bay Area for almost five years earlier it just never was a thing that I felt like I needed to add to my calendar. Where I lived in Georgia the parades either didn’t happen, were very small, or were too far away. Moving back to the Bay a few weeks ago I figured why not check it out this year. I knew it would make for some interesting photos. I got down to the site early before the parade started and wandered up and down the streets and through each staging zone and it was fun watching everyone get costumed up and ready for the big to-do. Great photo ops. The San Francisco Pride Parade is the oldest and largest in the country so I expected it to be more over the top than others but what I didn’t understand was the amount of children and naked men together. Men with cock rings and hard ons dancing around and grinding on each other with children and teenagers everywhere. It was just hard to watch and I’m not really sure why that was necessary, how that celebrates gay pride, or why parents weren’t bothered by it. If anyone wants to chime in on that and give me a different perspective to perhaps understand better then I’m all ears. And please spare me any homophobic talk because I’m not your guy for that stance. But please enjoy the pictures.
